SchülerFerienTicket MV to be discontinued

Schwerin, 15 March 2024 The SchülerFerienTicket (SFT) for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern will no longer be issued after more than two decades. After the ticket enjoyed great success in the past with very high sales figures, demand has fallen steadily in recent years. One of the main reasons for this is alternative ticket offers and the introduction of free school transport in many parts of the state.

The introduction of the Deutschland-Ticket, which is available as a successor to the 9-euro ticket, has encouraged many people to use local public transport. As a result, the SchülerFerienTicket MV was used much less by the state's school pupils last summer. For this reason, the state's transport companies have jointly decided to no longer offer the SchülerFerienTicket MV this year.

Alternative offers

In addition to the attractive offer of the Deutschland Ticket, there are inexpensive alternatives for the young target group that are valid during the summer holidays and allow flexible use of public transport.
