The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, VMV-Verkehrsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and DB Station&Service AG have concluded a framework agreement on the expansion of 56 railway stations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. By 2031, the stations will be expanded and modernised to make them barrier-free at a cost of around 120 million euros. Around 100,000 travellers and visitors will benefit from the new agreement - especially at smaller and medium-sized stations outside the conurbations.
