Press release of the Ministry of Economy, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour

Martini Market 2024

The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and ODEG - Ostdeutsche Eisenbahn GmbH - are running additional trains on the RB13 line between Schwerin and Parchim to mark the 2024 Martini Market in Parchim. The measure is part of the M-V mobility campaign, which also aims to further strengthen local rail passenger transport in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, particularly in rural regions. "With the additional trains to the Martinimarkt, we are offering visitors to the fair a comfortable journey to and from the fair together with ODEG and at the same time making a contribution to climate protection," said Reinhard Meyer, Minister for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour.

The Martinimarkt, Mecklenburg's largest fair, will take place from 31 October to 4 November 2024. On behalf of the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, ODEG will be running a total of 16 additional journeys on the RB13 route between Schwerin and Parchim on the weekend of 2 and 3 November 2024. These additional journeys will be offered with an additional vehicle of the usual Regioshuttle type. This means that guests can also reach the Martinimarkt conveniently every hour at the weekend. The exact journey times for arrivals and departures can be found in the "MV fährt gut" app.
