11/2024: Alternative vehicle concepts planned for the BUECKER sub-network

On 27 August 2024, VMV published the notice pursuant to Art. 7 Para. 2 of Regulation 1370/2007 in the version of Regulation 2016/2338 for the BUECKER subnetwork. The regional rail transport services of the sub-network include regional rail transport on the
Bützow - Pasewalk - state border D/PL ( - Szczecin) and Pasewalk - Ueckermünde sections. Battery electric vehicles (BEMU) are to be used in the sub-network.

A market survey of suitable vehicle concepts was announced in the preliminary information. link

The suitability of various operating concepts for the use of BEMU is to be examined and evaluated before the start of the award procedure. Further information, including on the operating concept variants developed to date, can be obtained until 13 December 2024 at vergabe@vmv-mbh.de can be requested. The information pack was compiled especially for the rail vehicle industry. The VMV hopes that feedback from the vehicle industry will provide valuable information for optimising the operating concept variants for BEMU.
