Schwerin 26 April 2022 – VMV - Verkehrsgesellschaft Mecklenburg-Vorpommern mbH invited the transport companies of the state, the municipal umbrella organisations, the districts and the independent cities to a workshop on joint projects in public transport in Güstrow. The Ministry of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labour and the State Office for Road Construction and Transport also took part in the workshop.
The event covered federal and state policy projects: the introduction of the €9 ticket, the state-wide on-demand bus system, the senior citizens' bus pass, the continuation of the MV trainee ticket and the introduction of a visitors’ ticket in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Another subject for discussion was the task of increasing the digitisation of public transport, which has to be tackled jointly. Projects are now being monitored in more detail in special working groups.
