Island town of Malchow

The island town of Malchow is located in the centre of the Mecklenburg Lake District between Lake Fleesensee and Lake Plauer See on the shores of Lake Malchow. On the old town island you will find many small houses that exude a special charm. The swing bridge, which connects the old town island with the mainland, opens every hour and allows around 20,000 boats and passenger ships to pass through every year.
